In the fertilizer production enterprises, almost 1/3 of the dust explosion of organic fertilizer equipment is caused by fire operations in violation of operating procedures. Therefore, many countries prohibit fire operations in the silos, production rooms of organic fertilizer equipment in fertilizer plants and other places. However, in some cases, fire operations have to be carried out, such as when it is impossible to move out the organic fertilizer equipment to be repaired from the production room. In this case, the following four points shall be achieved before operation.
Fire prevention operation training of organic fertilizer equipment
The equipment operators of organic fertilizer shall have the work permit to conduct fire in the production room and strictly abide by the safety operation procedures.
Stop all machines completely.
Carefully remove the dust in the equipment room of organic fertilizer, including the dust inside and outside walls, ceilings, metal structures, equipment and pipes.
Close the air duct, ventilation shaft and the inspection hole and hole of the equipment. Strengthening the training of staff is the fundamental measure for explosion prevention. All staff shall be familiar with dust removal methods, possible ignition sources, explosion protection and fire blocking devices, evacuation methods, etc., and shall comply with safety management rules and regulations to effectively prevent dust explosion.
